Příspěvek proto představuje praktické návrhy podpory rozvoje periferních regionů v návaznosti na generaci Z, a to prostřednictvím propojení veřejné správy, podnikatelského ekosystému a výzkumné vzdělávací infrastruktury.
Abstract (EN):
The paper responds to the current challenges associated with the development of peripheral regions facing the negative effects of depopulation. Concerning depopulation processes, the article aims to describe the background and specifics of Generation Z, representing an opportunity for the local and regional development. However, appropriate communication, education, and market strategies needed to be established to attract or retain Generation Z in peripheral regions. This article presents practical opportunities to support the development of peripheral regions to Generation Z, specifically by linking public administration, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the science and education infrastructure. The practical examples are based on a review of various sources' literature reflecting Generation Z issues with the specifics of peripheral regions. Finally, the limitations of using the mentioned tools and approaches to retain Generation Z are discussed concerning place-based policies to address the "outgoing" challenges that primarily affect peripheral regions.
